The goal of the Rail Heritage Centre is to conserve and present the state's core rail heritage collection. It will provide a gateway for visitors to other rail heritage precincts across NSW and a ticket out of Sydney into our rich rail heritage past.

The Centre aims to attract a diverse audience, now and into the future, through innovative public programs, creative exhibitions and a unique function venue.

Partners

The upgrade involves a partnership between RailCorp's Office of Rail Heritage and the NSW Rail Transport Museum, and collaboration with the Powerhouse Museum and Wollondilly Shire Council.

Upgrade project

The upgraded Centre will showcase the State’s remarkable rail heritage collection, create opportunities for more people to see the collection, hear the stories, experience heritage train rides and provide flexible venues for events – all in a safe and accessible environment.
